Rosen Method Bodywork

Your body reflects the story of your life and the ways you have shaped yourself in response to your environment. Especially when young, adapting to the demands of those around you often means that you unconsciously ‘put away’ feelings and attitudes in the body by tensing your muscles. Your posture, your breathing and the ways you move and express yourself can become restricted and you may start to lose touch with the richness of your authentic self.

The Rosen Method allows you to unfold from within, by accessing the places where you’ve been holding back. Using soft, ‘listening’ hands, engaged presence and simple dialogue, it opens a pathway through your protective defences, giving you a felt inner sense of yourself and the ways your personal history has shaped your identity.

As you reconnect to these forgotten places, your breath deepens and fills more of the body, and feelings, insights and memories may emerge.

It is hugely rewarding to work as a Rosen Method practitioner - to witness and accompany the unwinding of layers of conditioned holding responses in the face of experiences that were too hard to deal with in earlier life.
